Homestead Gardens

Homestead Gardens, a large garden center in Davidsonville, MD established in 1973, carries indoor tropical/subtropical bonsai in two forms: 3-inch starter plants and finished trees potted in imported ceramic bonsai pots, with many bonsai grown locally in Western Maryland. The Davidsonville store hosts periodic paid bonsai workshops led by outside instructors, such as a $100 tropical bonsai care class where each participant leaves with a potted bonsai. Note that the store's general plant repotting service explicitly does not cover bonsai trees.
